A multi-layered laser conduit was established between the satellites. Ions were injected into the conduit, creating a reflective layer between its strata. Coded electromagnetic radiation was then fed into this conduit; upon a supernova explosion, this radiation would be beamed out into space.' Steeve: 'If the supernova flash, channeled through the coaxial explosive-magnetic generator, generated an energy density sufficient to trigger a chain reaction - causing the vacuum to collapse to a different energy level - a shockwave front traveling at near-light speed would emerge. Some of the transmitted information would end up ahead of this front, within the old form of matter. Some would end up in the new form of matter (with its new false vacuum level). The physical form this information would take is unclear. However, it would have to reflect off the front and back inward. The reflection would likely be non-directional. Theoretically, the information could be detected...' Jett: 'It is not yet known what the distortion-correction algorithm would need to look like to allow the code to be correctly deciphered after such fundamental changes.' Steeve: 'If the structure of the correction algorithm cannot be logically deduced, then transmitting the information is pointless. It would remain undeciphered.' Jett: 'Yes and no. If it is merely information, then yes, the correction algorithm would need to be logically deducible. But if the code transmitted in this manner is actually a functioning Virtual Consciousness, then the correction algorithm would be incredibly complex.' Incidentally, the reflection from the "front" might have been anticipated in the Virtual Consciousness restoration scenario. Effectively, it is a decompression of information.
