'Mission Oflameron' synopsis. Виртуализация сознания сложная и еще до конца не решённая задача. Пока удавалось создавать весьма точные копии реального человеческого сознания, что приводило к "раздвоению" личности у многих участников экспериментов. Чем точнее клонировалась личность, тем был выше процент и тяжесть возникающих психических отклонений. Но перешагнуть через линию, "переключить сознание" только на виртуальность не удавалось. Центральному Командованию нужны были новые идеи и оно открыло конфиденциальный проект по изучению психических отклонений и начало его с тотального сбора и анализа историй болезней пациентов психиатрических клиник. Jett оказался в той части проекта, которая разбирала архивы ещё бумажных медицинских карт, сохранившихся в некоторых странах. Пришлось много ездить. Для работы его группе был выделен новейший на то время мобильный серверный AI G-Mind 1200. Бумажные медицинские карты, заполненные в ручную - очень неудобный формат для автоматизированного анализа и потому они ещё не были изучены. Jett считал, что если и могли произойти какие-то неожиданные открытия, то именно в этой части проекта и потому очень внимательно просматривал результаты анализа еще до отправки в Офис Проекта. Некоторые данные были помечены AI как "требующие дополнительной проверки". Jett запросил данные по ДНК этих пациентов. Заявку оформил как частное лицо и через местного провайдера. И это сработало. Несколько пациентов имело нереально продолжительную жизнь. Причём, не нашлось данных о том, что с ними сейчас. Кроме одного Пациента (Jett назвал его так, с большой буквы), из города Lewenz.
'Mission Oflameron' synopsis. Consciousness virtualization is a complex and still unsolved problem. While it has been possible to create highly accurate copies of real human consciousness, this has resulted in "split" personalities in many experimental participants. The more accurately the personality was cloned, the higher the percentage and severity of the resulting mental disorders. But crossing the line and "switching consciousness" to virtual reality alone was impossible. Central Command needed new ideas and launched a confidential project to study mental disorders, beginning with the comprehensive collection and analysis of patient records from psychiatric clinics. Jett found himself in the part of the project that sorted through archives of paper medical records still preserved in some countries. This required extensive travel. His team was assigned the then-new G-Mind 1200 mobile AI server for the work. Paper medical records, filled out manually, are a very inconvenient format for automated analysis, and therefore they had not yet been studied. Jett believed that any unexpected discoveries could be made in this part of the project, so he carefully reviewed the analysis results before sending them to the Project Office. Some data had been flagged by the AI as "requiring further verification." Jett requested DNA data from these patients. He submitted the request as a private individual and through a local provider. And it worked. Several patients had incredibly long lifespans. Moreover, no data was found on their current condition. Except for one Patient (Jett called him that, with a capital "P") from the city of Lewenz.
